TASH DIGITAL
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 September 2026
This policy
applies to Tash Digital websites and services, including Witty Worx.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Tash Digital collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use our websites, register for or use our services, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Tash Digital.
For purposes of South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), Tash Digital is the responsible party for personal information processed in connection with our services unless otherwise stated.
2. Information we may collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing details, account information, brand information, marketing preferences, uploaded files, social media details, business content and communications with us.
We may also collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, interaction data, cookies, analytics data and service logs.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, configure and deliver our services, provide customer support, process subscriptions and payments, communicate service information, improve our products and services, maintain security, prevent abuse, understand usage and performance, and comply with legal obligations.
Where permitted, we may also use contact details to provide information about Tash Digital products and services. You may opt out of direct marketing communications at any time.
4. AI processing and business information
Some Tash Digital services, including Witty Worx, use artificial intelligence to assist with research, strategy, copy, creative content, social media support and performance analysis. Information you submit to these services may therefore be processed by AI and technology service providers where necessary to provide the service.
You remain responsible for ensuring that information you upload or submit is information you are entitled to use and share. Do not submit confidential, sensitive or third-party personal information unless it is necessary and you have the authority to do so.
5. Service providers and third parties
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, cloud infrastructure, databases, analytics, communications, payment processing, security, artificial intelligence and other technical functions. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect our legal rights, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a legitimate business transfer or restructuring.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the sites, remember preferences, understand website usage, measure performance and improve the user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
7. Storage, security and international processing
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Some service providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards apply and that cross-border processing is handled consistently with applicable law.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide the service, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, and to meet legal, accounting or regulatory requirements. Information may be securely deleted, anonymised or archived when it is no longer required.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, object to certain processing, request deletion where legally appropriate, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version published on a Tash Digital website will apply from its stated effective date.
